The Regional TravelWise website is a way of signposting people to information about sustainable methods of travel and journey planning.
The home page shows the region in its entirety and enables people, via the map, to go to information about the area that they are interested in. The home page also has links to a number of journey planner websites, information on the TravelWise campaign and a search facility so that all the information for a particular method of transport can be shown for one or all the districts in the region.
The individual district pages contain contact details and links to further
information for the four most prominent sustainable methods of transport:
walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing. The pages also have
links to specialist TravelWise websites for travelling to Community, Residential,
School and Company destinations. Use the telephone numbers etc on the left
hand side of the screen for general enquiries about sustainable travel.
